For Organizations
More awareness. Clearer conversations.
Practical workshops in communication, mindfulness and working with stress available online and in person.
Working life asks us to make decisions, manage competing demands and stay attentive to other people.
Under pressure, it is easy to respond before we have understood the situation or recognised our own reaction.
Healing Institute offers space to explore these patterns and practise more deliberate ways of responding.
Our workshops connect attention, self-awareness and communication with everyday working life.
Communicating Clearly Under Pressure
A three-hour practical workshop for teams and leaders.
A client asks for more than was agreed. A deadline slips. A colleague challenges your decision. You need to respond, and both the outcome and the relationship matter.
This workshop helps participants prepare for difficult conversations by examining their reactions, checking assumptions and clarifying what they want to achieve.
What participants practise
- Recognising tension and the impulse to defend, withdraw or agree too quickly.
- Separating observations from assumptions about another person's intentions.
- Defining a clear purpose and boundary before speaking.
- Expressing requests, expectations and limits.
- Listening to the response and agreeing on what happens next.
How we work
Participants use a five-step framework:
Notice your state > clarify the situation > define your intention and boundary > communicate clearly > listen and agree.
Short introductions and guided reflection lead into conversation exercises in pairs or small groups.
Participants practise a difficult conversation, receive feedback and repeat it after preparing with the framework.
Scenarios can include giving feedback, renegotiating a deadline, responding to a demanding client or declining additional work.
What participants take away
A practical conversation framework, a brief preparation practice and a clear opening statement for a situation relevant to their work.
Duration: Three hours, including a short break.
Recommended group size: 8–14 participants.
Delivery: Online or in person by arrangement.
Mindfulness for Everyday Work Stress
A practical introduction to awareness, attention and responding to pressure.
A full calendar. Attention pulled between messages and unfinished tasks. A difficult meeting that stays with you long after it ends.
This workshop introduces mindfulness practices that help participants explore how they experience stress and respond to the demands of their working day.
There is time to pause, notice patterns and practise bringing attention back to what is happening now.
What participants practise
- Recognising how stress shows up in thoughts, bodily sensations and behaviour.
- Noticing an automatic reaction before acting on it.
- Returning attention to a chosen focus when distracted.
- Using brief pauses between tasks and conversations.
- Identifying moments when a pause, a boundary or a change in working conditions is needed.
How we work
Guided practices are combined with accessible explanations and reflection. Exercises may include awareness of bodily sensations, attention to natural breathing and observation of thoughts.
Participants explore how to use short practices before a meeting, after a demanding interaction or during a transition between tasks. Each person can adapt their participation to their comfort and experience.
What participants take away
A small set of mindfulness practices to explore at work, greater familiarity with their own stress patterns and a personal plan for introducing a pause into their day.
Duration: Agreed around your team's needs, from an introductory session to a longer practical workshop.
Group size: Agreed according to the format and level of interaction.
Delivery: Online or in person by arrangement.
Experience: No previous mindfulness experience is needed.
Our approach
Our approach draws on psychology and contemplative practices from the yoga tradition. We adapt practices of attention, self-observation and intentional action to everyday working life.
Participants explore how these practices can inform the way they prepare for a conversation, respond to pressure or listen to another person.
Sessions combine guided practice, reflection and opportunities to apply what is explored. We use accessible language, and no previous experience with yoga is needed.
Participants can work with fictional examples without sharing personal experiences. Alongside individual skills, we make room to recognise organisational factors such as workload, unclear expectations and competing priorities.
Sessions shaped around your team
You can choose either workshop or discuss a session combining elements of communication, mindfulness and stress awareness.
Before making a proposal, we explore who the session is for, the situations your team faces and what you would like participants to practise. Together, we agree on a suitable focus, duration and format.
All sessions are available online or in person. Location and travel arrangements are agreed individually.
Start with what your team needs.
Email us about your organisation, the people you have in mind and the challenges you would like to address. We will discuss the fit and send you a proposal with the suggested format, availability and fee.
It helps to include your approximate group size and whether you are considering an online or in-person session.
